New Schedule Underway

Lincoln Firefighters started a new schedule September 1st which returns around-the-clock staffing to two firefighters per shift. Firefighters now work 56 hour weeks, up from their previous 48 hour weeks. With the new schedule also comes 24 hour shifts.

Firefighters are still working under their contract, which expired July 1. Negotiations are expected to resume some time in September.
